Pain

Hello folks,

the last weeks I wasn't lazy, it was all about pain.
I hat a little accident with a lot of pain in my back, could not go to work or work on the pan...
So here are a few pics from what happend before my accident.

Adjustable fork and pushrod covers

I started to clean the pushrod covers.


Tomorrow I have to go to the next Harley shop, I need 2 steering damper friction washers, but exept that, this part of the fork is ready :-)

Cleaned the inner fork parts..

and put them together.

Yeehaw, look what I found in a box!

The rocker studs which we need tomorrow to fix the heads.

Assembled the adjustable fork trees with the new parts.

First I had to clean the threads.


Rebuild the fork trees with nos or american made replacement parts.
Ping-Pong-Parts sucks!

Fork parts

Had to use parts from an old servicar front end.
Cleaned them and covered them in oil.

BP would be proud of me!

Cooked my pan cover rings and the tranny plate in oil.
My neighbours yelled at me, but someone has to do this job ;-)
I did this in front of the barn, my whole yard was covered into stinky smoke.

The fork is back in town...

Yesterday the parts for the fork arrived, now I can start to rebuild the fork.

Magneto vs crankcase

Tried to figure out which position would be the smartest for this fucker...
Next monday we will continue to work on this.

My motor on the way tro the dirty ol' man

Yesterday I put the pan case on the front seat of my car and drove to the dirty ol' man.
We began to mount the magneto.

What we did this week 3

Disassembled the damaged rocker studs.
Damn, I need replacement parts for these heads!!!
